Yesterday was actually our last day for the first semester. We had our sembreak 2 days earlier than the other courses. Luckily, we didn’t need to take our final exam in BusTech. Our teacher just made us submit some letters and that served as our final exam. We really missed him because he had to file a leave so he could take care of his wife who just got out of the hospital. Minutes after he entered the room, he explained what happened and tears just fell down on his face.

His wife is sick and he has been busy taking care of her which we really understood. Really. He is actually my favorite teacher. His energy is just so high and his way of teaching is just rejuvenating. But, that time yesterday, I saw a different side of him. I didn’t see a teacher… but a husband. A loving husband to his wife. I was really moved when he cried and said:

For the past days, my faith was really tested. But, I know that I have to be strong for her. So, I kept on praying because she’s such a good soul and I could not afford to lose her..

At that time, I really wanted to hug him. I’ve never seen someone who has become so emotional for his wife. It’s just that, I’m so touched with the love he showed. And with the way he described her, you could tell that they are just so lucky to have each other. I really hope that they could overcome this trial very soon.

I was really moved. My prayers are with them. :’(
